Protecting Our Pets and Consumer Rights

oe Golombek is a strong supporter of animal rights and has been working to protect animals from abuse and neglect. One of his most significant accomplishments in this regard has been the passing of legislation that makes it illegal to own a puppy mill in Buffalo. This legislation has helped to prevent the cruel and inhumane treatment of animals and has sent a strong message that animal abuse will not be tolerated in the North District.

Fought to Remove Punitive School Speed Zone Cameras

Joe Golombek understands that school safety is a top priority and has worked to improve safety measures around schools in the North District. However, he recognized that the punitive school speed zone cameras that were previously in place were unfairly targeting and punishing drivers, without necessarily improving safety outcomes. For this reason, he voted to remove these cameras, instead supporting more effective safety measures that promote both safety and fairness.

Better Snow Removal Resources

Joe Golombek recognizes the importance of accessible infrastructure and has been advocating for snow removal from sidewalks to ensure that everyone, including those with disabilities, can access public spaces safely and easily. He has been working to increase funding for sidewalk snow removal and to promote community engagement in snow removal efforts. His efforts have helped to make the North District a more accessible and inclusive community for all. He also fought to create an Emergency Manager position so the City can better prepare for future emergency situations.
