Meet Joe

Joe Golombek is the North District Council Member on the Buffalo Common Council. He’s a passionate public servant who has worked tirelessly for the people of Buffalo and the North District.

Joe was born in Riverside and graduated from Riverside High School. Mr. Golombek holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from SUNY Buffalo State and a Master’s Degree in European History from Marquette University. In his spare time, he works as a history professor at Buffalo State College.


As a passionate public servant for Buffalo and the North District, Joe Golombek is deeply committed to this community and its residents. Over the years, Joe has seen firsthand the changes and challenges facing our neighborhood, and he has used his experience and passion to continue to make a positive difference.


As a member of the Buffalo Common Council, Joe has worked tirelessly to improve our infrastructure, develop our waterfronts, promote healthy and sustainable communities, and continue to improve accessability for everyone.
